SHERYL ELIZABETH HARTZHEIM, - On Friday, October 11, 2013, at 6:06 a.m., Beloved wife of Craig Hartzheim, loving mother of Dylin Beaux Hartzheim and Nynah Elizabeth Hartzheim, sister of Charles W. Johnson, Jr., great-aunt of Jesse, sister of Dr. Laura Brinz, survived by her relatives in Mexico and, by her many friends and "sistas" in Sisters in Survivorship; age 50 years; a native of Jefferson, Louisiana and a resident of the city of Metairie, La. for 20 years. "Mother's Best Friend", "Dad's Little Pumpkin'", "Big Bro's'Lil Sis'". Relatives and friends of the family lovingly cherished by Sheryl, Sysco Food Services of New Orleans, Riverdale High School, Saint Francis Xavier School, Rummel High School, doctors, nurses and staff of Dr. Laura Brinz's Office, treating nurses and staff of East Jefferson Hospital, Sheryl's friends at the Red, White & Blue store, and all of Sheryl's many companions who accompanied her in her unwavering fight against cancer for over seventeen years are invited to attend the memorial services ---all thanks to whom Sheryl did not fight cancer alone. and want you to know how much i love you. I only have two younger brothers since
i am the only girl. Throughout the years i have known you, i have felt a
connection. To me you are the sister i never had. You are always smiling, even
though i know you are sad. You encourage others to keep fighting and never lose
hope or faith. Your faith is what carries you. You have an amazing spirit
and attitude which is contagious. You have the strength of an army and you are

Hello everybody, this is
Charles, Sheryl's brother. We thank everyone for their support and expression
of love for Sheryl. We ask that friends and family continue to donate
replacement blood on behalf of Sheryl Hartzheim when she was receiving her
treatment in the hospital, so that others may also benefit from your donations.
Also, Sheryl's Celebration of Life memorial will be held tentatively next
Friday, 18th of October, 2013, at Greenwood Funeral Home in New Orleans; time
to be announced. The family appreciates the prayers received for Sheryl. Sheryl
said,

this morning. What an incredible light and beautiful heart and soul. An
incredible Mom to two wonderful children, a great and loving wife to her
husband and childhood sweetheart. She was bright, precious, kind, loving,
caring, goodness personified. I was so blessed to get to meet and hug in person
this gorgeous radiant light, loving woman, great person, when I went to New
Orleans for the YSC/LBBC Young Breast Cancer Survivors conference 2 years ago
now I believe. I am so very, very grateful to have finally met her in person,
after so much support in our group online, emails, and phone calls. The world
has lost a beautiful sweet spirit far too soon. Please hold loving thoughts and
prayers for her husband and children as they grieve this loss, all of her

I haven't been able to write
anything because i had to process, accept and come to terms that my sweet
Sheryl J Hartzheim is now in heaven probably wishing she can tell us not to cry
because it is absolutely beautiful there. She is not suffering and she is
reunited with so many others we have lost and rejoicing. I know this is our
temporary home and eventually we will all be reunited. Today, after much prayer
and tons of crying i am looking for the positive in this. She touched many
lives, including me and had amazing faith, oomph and made a difference. My life
will never be the same. She was truly a bad ass and so strong. . Even at
the end she still remained positive. I know she is an angel now and earned
those wings and although she left a void, she left a legacy!!! She will remain
alive in my heart and soul! I miss you incredibly!!!

My dear sweet friend Sheryl J Hartzheim fought a long hard
battle with cancer but lost the fight at 6:30 am. She was a 2X breast cancer
survivor and then colon cancer took it's toll. She just turned 50 in August.
Please pray for her family. She leaves behind a loving husband, son,daughter
and brother plus we who called her SIStah. Reality hits so hard and stings the
most! I love you my amazing friend! You are now my ANGEL!

is distraught, even though we know you are in a better place. Thanks to
